She is a daughter of DHI Highlight (Chello III × Equador), bred by Lumela Stables and proven at CCI 3* level. On the sire’s side, Balou du Rouet brings generations of international showjumping quality, descending from Olympic champion and three-time World Cup winner Baloubet du Rouet.

Selected by the KWPN as Ster voorlopig keur, Madam Balou V distinguished herself through blood, reflexes, technique and scope, with particularly strong scores for reflexes (90), technique (85), scope (85) and jumping (85).

Her first offspring already reflect that quality. Ricardo V and Sterre V both show power and athletic ability, with Sterre V developing into one of the standout mares of the next generation.
